R!sk Matters was formed in the summer of 2008 by Peter Abell.
With 25 years experience at the leading UK water utility Peter knows what good asset and risk management practice looks like. Peter has a strong track record in the design and delivery of innovative training solutions for risk and asset management processes to ensure assets are 'fit for purpose' - see awards for more details
R!sk Matters are a small organisation that focus on a personal and high quality service and as most of our work is repeat business, we must be doing something right!
Our principle is to offer simple and sound advice on all risk matters to help organisations to achieve their objectives.
Peter has been at the forefront of advancements risk management in the water industry for the last decade
· Peter’s achievements include designing and running the first ever ‘Source to Tap’ risk management study in the UK · Implementing risk based prioritisation for capital investment to replace problem registers · Designing and implementing a standard risk management process in Yorkshire Water · Developing asset management training and leading the development and implementation of risk management training within Yorkshire Water that won the two prestigious awards · Peter’s risk management CV includes trips to Canada, Portugal and the United Arab Emirates and delivering training for the UK water regulators
Peter is a Specialist of the Institute of Risk Management and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
